Level Crossing Cameras

Hi All

New member here.

I did a silly thing the other day. I stopped at a level crossing. The train passed and the barriers lifted. When the barriers were approx 80% up I drove on but my wife noticed the lights were still flashing. There is an orange Gatso style camera at the crossing.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I know I am likely in some trouble, I just can’t afford a ban. I currently have no points on my license.

Not sure about Gatso cameras, but I believe most crossings will have CCTV.

I think you will be ok as the barrier was going up.

It would be a different matter if the barrier were coming down.

It will likely be a British Transport Police action. They may be stricter than the (road) police.
