Forza Motorsport - Hot Hatch Championship 2024

Right-o finally it’s here - apologies for the faffery.
I present to you the Hot Hatch Championship….
The races will take place at 20.00 on the last Sunday of every month for the next 10 months. Starting on the 31st of March at and finishing same time on the 29th of December.
I will also run an open private lobby on the second Sunday of every month for testing under race conditions with no points/penalties given. These will also start at 20.00 and will be open to all to come and go as they please. We can all have an input at to tracks and laps for these.
The rules are as follows:
All cars from modern hot hatch or hot hatch icons permitted, except for the 1997 Honda Civic Type R - due to the performance vs PI value of this particular car.
Once you have selected your car and we start the first race, you will not be allowed to change your car at any point throughout the championship.
A starting maximum PI of 460.
All performance upgrades permitted.
All races will take place over 15 laps depending on the circuit. The reason for this is the circuit will be chosen at random by the game.
If the full Nurburgring circuit or Le Mans is selected by the game, we will be doing less.
All drivers must perform one mandatory pit stop per race. Whether you choose to change tyres/refuel is up to you.
The scoring will be as follows:
Position Points
1st 25
2nd 18
3rd 15
4th 12
5th 10
6th 8
7th 6
8th 4
9th 2
10th 1
There will be a deduction of 3 points for whoever has the fastest lap.
The will be a gain of 3 points for whoever has the slowest lap.
Win and loss bonuses:
The following PI changes will be taken into the next championship race, by that player (so if you miss a round you still have to take the points gain/decrease).
1st place: - 30 PI
2nd place: - 20 PI
3rd place: - 10 PI
Last place: + 30 PI
2nd to last: + 20 PI
3rd to last: + 10 PI
If we get to a point where someone can no longer drop any more PI - a drive through penalty will have to be served at the end of lap 1.
All races will be standing starts and in a grid order of descending PI.
Hopefully that covers just about everything. Hope a few of you join in and we can have some fun

ETA: I might have to wait until that mod comes in that enables you to modify cars without needing to level them up - does anyone know when that's due to be rolled out?
So starting with any hot hatch you like and upgrade or downgrade to 460.
I’d suggest doing some free play races and join me for the test sessions, as we’ll do a few races to help level up the cars. Not sure when the update is coming to pay for upgrades though I’m afraid.

It seems as though the performance is not balanced to the PI level. So basically the car is way faster than it should be for the level it’s at.
I’ve just tuned one to 460 and put it against a 500 car and it’s still a second quicker. The B and C class leaderboards kind of reflect this too.
So for that reason, I’m going to have to say that this car will be excluded from the championship.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Before I start spending all my son's points, can you confirm that we can race anything that is It seems as though the performance is not balanced to the PI level. So basically the car is way faster than it should be for the level it’s at.

I do have a stupid mental 800hp Ford Focus in my garage but will need to detune it a bit !
I presume we can buy a car above the 460PI limit if needed but would have to use ballast to lower the PI to the 460PI limit ?

I can save you a bit of money and tell you you can’t get the Renault 26r low enough

tter. That’s why the track is at random so you could build a car for a tight twisty circuit and we end up racing Silverstone GP
