Hi guys - need your help again please.

My 2005 ford focus has recently started to get a really wet looking clutch pedal. On closer inspection behind the pedal I can see a trail of fluid - can you please identify what the part is in the photo? When pushing the pedal down with my hand I could see fluid slowly dribbling - I think? Or I’m going mad.

You need that replaced before it fails as otherwise you'll not be able to declutch and the car will be undrivable.

At least it's the cheaper end of the clutch system, the slave cylinder is a gearbox out job I believe.

No, nothing to do with the gearbox unless the slave is gone too.

Check your brake fluid level though as the clutch often uses a take off from this.

Yeah my brake fluid has been dropping recently - I wondered if this was leaking somewhere. So this is where it’s going??? Easy fix do you think for a garage?
Thanks so much for your help
