Im at a bit of a loss here as to how to correctly fit a microphone to the head unit to my 1 series, i have swapped out my old business head unit for a professional one with built in bluetooth and DAB. I can successfully connect to the Bluetooth and make call’s etc so I know the Bluetooth is working correctly.

Ive posted elsewhere but getting absolutely zero response and car audio companies dont seem to have any idea.

I cannot seem to find the correct wiring required however i can find the correct ’microphone. I found a generic one online that supposedly works but have two problems. The type of quadlock connector i have seems to be different to ones shown on retrofit guides so you cannot just insert the audio block with the pins. I stripped the connector down to the pins and stupidly ended up snapping one in the quadlock- not ideal.

Most of the guides online also are for bmws with a MULF box in the boot which doesnt seem to apply to mine.

Once this is fitted i dont even know if this will require coding (some reports say you do but most dont)

I know this can be done, but really struggling to find any helpful wiring guides for my particular quad lock so wondered if anyone can advise.
