Wife's NC just failed it's MOT requiring a bit of inner sill welding - all the major work was done a couple of years back, so thus really is a couple of small patches. And...

Rear shocks have 'catastrophic fluid leak' so the cost of a shock absorber being about £150, I thought why not fit a set of coilovers since we're in there.

I've heard good things about MeisterR, what'd you think?

They're the affordable go to upgrade for the NC. I have CRD's on my NC, price was right and they do the job.

I track and road mine and with upgraded roll bars (which for me, went on at the same time), I'm a happy camper.

Others may suggest Ohlins which are a lot more spuds and they probably are a touch improved over MeisterR's but I've not driven on track or road to consider a comparison.

I liked the fact that I could alter the stance/height of my car from the "stilted" look it once had.

Pound for pound, I don't think there's anything else at the price point to consider.

Teins come in a bit cheaper...

Whatever you fit, give them a good dose of ACF-50 protectant, twice a year and/or buy coilover socks 'cos the paint on them ain't top drawer on the Meisters.

As I say, others may offer different opinions.

Good shocks for the money they’re charging. Personally, I’d throw a bit more in and buy Ohlins.. that’s exactly what I did.

It us my wife's car. She isn't quite as 'intense' a driver as we all are.

It seems like a good option. I have Ohlins on my Chimaera. They'd be wasted on her.

I have just had Tein Flex Z fitted to my 30AE & are very happy with them. I previously has Meister's on an an NC but felt they were a little harsh for our shocking roads, but good on track.

The rears are on. The fronts, the bolts are seized so a job for tomorrow.

Sitting a bit high at the back, so will adjust once all four are fitted.

Welding turned out to be a little more extensive...

Wow! I knew the NA and NB models were bad for rust but didn't realise the NCs were that bad also.

11 years of Cornish salty air in Fowey and 16 years of winter driving in all weathers.

It's a summer car now. Taxed April to September. She can drive the Rangey Sport in the winter! biggrin

Having the same fitted to my NC by Roddisons in a couple of weeks. Took a while deciding between CRDs and Sportives but decided in the end that I couldn’t justify spending more on essentially a 4th car. Interested to hear how you find them.

All fitted and adjusted. Need to do a few miles and perhaps readjust.

Not driven it yet, but the wife has and says it's handling better than before. And if she says so, it must be good!

Looks good to me, you can usually find the recommended height settings online for them if you did find it a bit low.
