Hi All,
Apologies tried to search this, without any success:
Does anyone have any experience of mixing K tyres? I can only get K1 fronts to match K2 rears. Is there any genuine issue with mixing between axles? All other specs are equivalent.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have any experience of mixing K spec tyres on Ferrari's, but have mixed PS4S N spec with Porsche and A spec with Audi, and felt no noticible difference.

If you’re going to mix K spec tyres then you might as well save yourself the hassle and grief and not bother with K spec at all.

Thanks both! Mixed views as ever. Appreciate you feeding back. For what it’s worth, would only save £100 (£25 a tyre) to go for non-K-spec PS4S’

I ran none K Spec on my 458 on PS4S and the grip was amazing.
I then fitted K spec PS4S to the rear and the grip was noticeably less, particular in cold/wet.

Based on my findings of running both basic no spec PS4S compared to K spec PS4S I'd go with the basic no spec tyres every time they had more grip, more progressive and just safer.

Only advantage to K Spec tyres was the lack of grip did make the car more entertaining. biggrin
