Afternoon all, decided I want a golf room building in the garden.

Something like this would be ideal. Got the idea past the wife so that was the main stumbling block, just need to decide where to put it.

Has anyone done similar? I had originally thought about converting the garage but we use that for too much crap and I'd like a dedicated space, with a bit of a sitting area, would be perfect for having the lads round and the kids are showing an interest in wanting to learn.

There seems to be a few systems which is confusing, the TrackMan seems to get good reviews, that's looking at £35k+ for a full simulator set up.

I've played at Top Golf in the states a few times which uses TopTracer but can't find much info on it. Ideally want to be able to play games vs friends and treat it like a driving range too.

Ideally what I'm after is a localish company (Wirral, NW) who can come and talk through it with me and do the whole thing including the cabin/shed it'll go in.

Any advice appreciated!

For anyone interested, I came across this website;

https://golfzon.co.uk/

Looks good and they're actually only 5 mins from my office so I'm going in today to discuss spec etc.

It's a big subject, worth doing a lot of reading first, and working on the basis of 10 foot ceiling height.

The current indoor sim favourite, worth talking to golfzon about, is the Protee-vx:

Trackman was never originally developed for indoor use, there's no doubt with the latest version it will work and if money is no object you can't go far wrong, but the Protee or the Unicor Eye systems will be less than half the price and potentially more "fun" - get demos before committing.

Thanks for the advice, I'm not sure what equipment they have in terms of demo in their showroom but I'll know in an hour or so. Quite excited.

A friend who is a pro golfer does all these kind of setups, he himself is Cheshire based, the business is based down south but they install all over the country.

I used Golfzon today, it was brilliant, everything I wanted in a system.

Interestingly had already booked a call with Golf Swing Systems, speaking to them at 3:30pm but looks like they do Golfzon so good for a comparable quote.
