Wife got a string of emails saying her Facebook email
Had been changed, clicked link to say not her, next thing she knows her account got suspended and then deleted for breaking community guidelines. Tried to contact them
But generic email back saying it’s permanently deleted. To me this wouldn’t be an issue but she’s got lots of baby pics on there and access to some of her friends pics who have passed away. Is there a uk contact number to plead her case? Her instagram and WhatsApp are not affected.

Best of luck!

Mins was locked due to linking to an Instagram account that broke their guidleines.

I don't have instagram.

Facebook instructions, "appeal the decision through Instagram".

I don't have instagram. I can't.

Emailed via form, and an email address weeks ago. No response. I just set up another account. This is well documented on reddit - the lack of response from FB.

Dont' store ANYTHING important on facebook. I know its too late for you but I'm warning others.

If she's like a lot of people she "might" find she has all her photos still lurking on her phone... I see people with 1000s and 1000s of photos on their phones they are trying to sift through.

Good advice. I know several people who’ve had their Facebook accounts hacked but they all managed to retrieve them.

Is she sure the link she clicked was genuine?

I'm sorry for the OP but the lesson for us is don't rely on cloud systems as your only store for important images.

In fact - always have a backup of anything important.

Indeed, look what happened to Alex Jones, the Tv presenter.

Indeed. Never click a link like that in an email, always go to the site directly and check.
