2014 and says trial in Berkshire, Ron Dennis left in 2016 maybe it was related to him? Closest team to Berkshire.

I wonder what is the deciding factor for the location of a trial. Local to the Police Force that investigated perhaps?

The article says that it is a former F1 executive so Claire Williams is another possibility.

I don't think the trial will be held a the Slough magistrates' court.

Normally the MC chosen is near to where the offence occurred, but in this case, location might well be irrelevant, so near to where the investigation team is based. Blackmail is a serious offence. It might be a regional unit as lead.

The accused live in Slough and Maidenhead, so it's their local MC. The article states the trial will be held at Reading Crown Court.

Does Ron still live on the outskirts of Newbury? I went to his house about 15years ago.

all the info is sketchy , however it did go to court , was hoping one of the legal bods could provide more info on the court case

Looks like it was just a preliminary/committal hearing. You won't get much info from one of those. You'll have to wait for the trial.

The courts are open to anyone and the daily lists of trials are published online, so any intrepid PHer local to the crown court could attend and report back the juicy details.

Ron or Frank? Frank Williams lived near Newbury for many years. I thought Ron lived in Wentworth/Virginia Water (although Google says he is building a £30m mega mansion near Henley-on-Thames).


Digging around on the gossip website posted above does reveal the name of the person involved in this case and I would be surprised if anyone had ever heard of them.
