Hi All hope someone can help I have looked googled and anything else I can do, but no luck

My elderly mother does not need broadband but does need her home phone line, she is currently with sky as this is a legacy form when my farther was alive,

they are putting the cost up to £54 in the next month or so, I think that is silly just for a home phone, you can search on line and various providers advertise at £20-30 per month. however when you look further into it they don't support using the current line and there basic package and want to install a fibre line and then the cost is back to £50 a month.

so my question is does anyone one know of a company that i can provide just a land line for her phone with out taking my eyes out frown

Probably not, this is why;

Can she use a mobile as that would be the easiest solution.

BT, for example, is rolling out its programme on a region-by-region basis. However, in general, they aren't currently switching certain groups, as long as they're aware of people's circumstances. The groups who aren't currently being invited to switch are:

people aged 75 and over
people who have disclosed any additional needs
people who only have a landline (and not broadband)
people with telecare alarms
people with no mobile signal at home.
might be worth speaking to BT direct
