Just a quick message to the ten or so TVRs that were out and about this afternoon in the Fradleigh area. I happened to catch the backend of your convoy around Barton.

This week has been really crap for me, so I decided to go for a drive to cheer me up and clear my head. I popped in at Curborough Sprint Course and headed off in the Ashbourne direction. After a few miles I caught up to a blue Chimaera, which is an event in itself. Imagine my surprise then, when around ten TVRs pull out of the layby ahead. Safe to say it made my day to follow you for a few miles before you turned off just before Barton. It was like driving through thunder and will be a lasting memory.

Sadly, my gear knob had come loose (ooh er, it often does that) about two miles before I caught you, so keeping up was interesting but great fun.

Hope you all had a nice afternoon.

It is the season opener at Elvaston Castle near Derby tomorrow and today was a run out around Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Today was mainly dry but tomorrow the weather is less promising.

Yes, despite the forecast of seven plagues & forty days of rain it actually turned out quite nice!.
Here’s my nomination for the sparkliest car of the day; a ‘rainbow grey’ Tuscan.
