I’ve got a courtesy GT as my PE is in for the fuel pump recall.
Just wondering if they all have sports exhaust as this seems quite muted - ok, on “overrun” I get the pops (more like “thuds” on the GT) but it doesn’t have the crackle of the PE. It seems bass focussed.

Yes all GT should have the sports exhaust. You can tell by looking for the twin pipe inside the exhaust trim.

It might be a bit more muted due to the extra emissions equipment on newer cars (GPF). It should at least have quite a loud induction growl.

I've been given a GT as a loan while my car is in for corrosion. I actually find the pops and bangs louder than in my 2019 car with sports exhaust. Driven a few loan cars and the torque and volume of the engine varies a surprising amount between cars.

Are the new GT cars the 300hp version, my courtesy car seem much quicker than my standard Pure version that’s in for service?

Yes, all new GT (and S) have the 300hp engine and sports exhaust as standard
You can still get the 250hp engine in the plain A110
