Hi guys, I'm a young car detailer, trying to get a wider understanding of where supercar owners get their cars cleaned, what would make them want to get it done by someone in particular etc, any help would be great thanks

Think it will depend if these cars have PPF or not.. in my case as my cars have PPF done by Elite Detailing Knightsbridge or Birmingham, I take them there most weekends for wash/clean and to check on any imperfections to retain its 10 yr Guarantee. Don’t have any cars without PPF, so I don’t have a detailer as such. Best of luck with the business.

I have someone who comes round every couple of weeks and cleans whatever cars are available.

I do it myself. Always have and probably always will.

Really can’t be doing with taking the car somewhere regularly to get it cleaned.

They never, or rarely get full on proper dirty like a daily in winter.

Went through a couple of middling mobile detailers/valets before I found Finesse Detailing (Surrey/Hampshire) who come out to me every 4 weeks and do a great job.

A clean car = an unused car.
A detailed car = someone who probably plays golf.

Seriously though, I have had my cars ceramic coated when I bought them which included paint correction. I never ever trust a dealer to do that kind of work even if they offer some ‘protection’ prior to purchase. I have a local guy who did the coating and he is the only person to clean my car. I trust him and he is so OCD about the job it’s fantastic. He is protecting my asset and that is what I pay him for. The car is just as immaculate 12 months down the line. The key for me is finding someone who I believe cares about my car. Not cheap but it works for me. As I have said on another thread I am a little weird about my cars.

At the local car wash place, the same as with my normal cars.

£10 and they seem to do a very good job at not getting any grit into their sponges and cloths or power-washing electrical bits.
