I've been having a few issues lately with the electrics on the Jazz with problems with proximity opening/locking, failing to recognise the key and then one journey full blown Christmas lights on the dash - steering wheel angle warning, collision warning, lane departure warning, speed limit warning, engine warning light, DSC, etc and a painful set of bongs and amber graphics each time the car started up.

Took it to my trusty Romanian mechanic who using an expensive code reader did a diagnostic, reset the code and tested the battery. No charge, but I gave him a £10 beer token. Battery voltage was fine 95% of the time, but an occasional fault with one cell causing issues. Onto Tayna - nowt available, Euros (whom I hate), GSF etc etc. Found one on Amazon where the company issued a false tracking number and tried to rip me off; found 2 on eBay, but each time got cancelled sales stating Yuasa didn't have them in stock. In the meantime I put the battery on charge each week when cleaning the car to keep it topped up and stave off problems. Last week I forgot to top it up and got Christmas tree lights. So I though F*ck it and looked on Amazon for a code reader to reset it. The Topdon 500? was c. half price last week £60 down to £31 in their deals, so I bought that.

Best. Thing. I. Have. Ever. Bought. biggrin

Why didn't I get one earlier? I've been plugging it into each car and playing around with it.
