After my Mum passed late last year I've been helping my Dad get finances etc. in order as Mum always just dealt with that stuff. We had some difficulty getting a mobile phone contract for him which turned out to be due to him not passing the credit checks. We ordered a statutory credit report from Experian which I got hold of today.

Dad unfortunately got scammed out of some personal details etc. a few weeks before Mum passed away and there are a number of credit searches for things like credit cards, personal loans etc. showing on the report which I think are a result of this. One of them shows under the CIFAS section of the report, saying "REFER TO CIFAS MEMBER". I'm assuming it's that and potentially the other fraudulent attempts to use his identity that are causing him issues just now, what the report and associated documentation don't make clear though is what, if any, means of recourse Dad may have to get these removed from his report?

That appears to be another provider of the report we already have - do they offer facilities for cleaning up the credit history?
