Hi

I will be changing my van and need some advice i suppose.

I have a choice of a

VW transporter 6 90BHP ( could get it reprogrammed i suppose ) 2021 50000kms 23990euros 12 months garantie

Toyota Proace Brandnew 2024 D4 2.0 140 BHP 3 years guarentee extendable to 10 years 29300 euros

Is the transporter really better as im not to sure to be honest.???

What you guys reckon?

Thanks

Toyota all day everyday if those are your only options. Residuals won’t be as good in very long term but depends what use is going to be.

Is the Toyota that’s being discussed here the endlessly badge engineered (Dispatch/Expert/Vivaro etc) Stellantis mid-size van or something else? If so, why the Toyota over some of the other badges?

Yes its basically the same an as the Vivaro dispatch relay etc, the difference being a 10 year warranty with the Proace if serviced within the toyota network.

You’ll need the warranty if only for the adblue system. All our Citroen dispatch vans have had issues with the adblue. No other issues though

The proace is smaller than a transporter.
I discounted the “new” vivaro based on the new size over the outgoing one.
I bought the Renault trafic today as it’s the same shape as the old vivaro and bigger than the new vivaro

Unless big miles or multi drop I'd go electric all the way. They're so cheap!

I do 8k miles a year which isn't much. I still wouldn't buy an electric van yet. Their range is abysmal then add a 5/800kg of permanent weight to the rear and watch that range plummet! No thanks.
