I need a shed / workshop to keep a couple of motorbikes - size 4m x 3m. Ideally somewhere that I can keep dehumidified during the winter.

I've looked at the usual stuff on Dunster House, Tuin etc. The log cabins look ok but it appears that the timber is not treated.

During the usual internet search I came across Quality Garden Buildings - www.qualitygardenbuildings.uk, the timber they use is pressure treated, the price also includes construction.

Has anyone had any experience of their products?

I haven’t used quality garden buildings but did install a tuin log cabin back in 2020 which I’m really impressed with still.

It’s made of good quality spruce rather than treated pine and that’s part of the reason we chose tuin over others

I haven’t needed to use a dehumidifier in it

I had a Dunster, 32ft but single wall thickness (not insulated). Looked great for first year but rapidly deteriorated. Would never have one again, they warp something crazy. I think they do a triple walled insulated version might be better but even the roof was warping.

Another vote for Tuin - had mine since 2018 and it's my home office - treated the outside and the inside is fully kitted out with electrics, carpet etc. I'm planning on additional insulation but aside from that it's decent. I'm looking at another cabin as a larger garden room/den for upcoming teenage kids... good value as well.

Maybe something like this would be more durable:

I bought a 10x14 foot workshop from these guys 11 years ago. https://www.regencytimberbuildings.co.uk/ Its untreated redwood, I paint it every second year and there is no noticeable deterioration at all so far. Great service and a sensible price (well it was 11 years ago)

Funnily enough, yes I have used them.

They supply lots of stuff. I assume what you might be talking about is their Lugarde offering - are a Dutch company whose main USP is completely customisation. They also supply a much higher quality product than what’s been mentioned thus far in this thread. Having said that, the price you pay reflects that.

In terms of QGB themselves, bearing in mind they are a supplier and installer of Lugarde not the manufacturer, I couldn’t recommend them more. Straight forward and very accommodating.
