Dog carry bags/backpacks

Has anyone got any experience (good or bad) of those backpacks or bags for carrying dogs in?

I wouldn't normally contemplate using one, but our elderly cocker, Rosie, is getting very frail now and I'm not sure how well she will cope with longer walks. We still walk her daily on our land (she generally only has one walk vs our other dogs' two), but we haven't been out for a long walk for some time. When we do go out, we tend to go further afield and are sometimes out for the day, so I'd prefer not to leave Rosie at home alone.

Anyone have any recommendations of makes, or makes to avoid?

Rosie only weighs about 9kg (we are trying to get weight on her, but that's a whole other topic in itself!)

What do you wanna know? I regularly carry my dog in a backpack but he's only a young 5kg pincher. He goes on Rollerblades, motorbike etc and has been used to it since day 1.
Elderly cocker spaniel at 9kg might be a bit more of a hassle to make her and you comfortable. But I've seen many people hiking with dogs of her size in a backpack so it's definitely doable. Both you and her might find it more comfortable to use a stroller though.

I guess I was hoping for recommendations of backpacks people had used (or ones to avoid).

I appreciate that it may not be possible to start now, but I don't think a stroller would be practical for the types of places we tend to visit. Thanks anyway.

Met some folks near a canal/water reservoir who used a baby pram in the past? Dogs were blind but still enjoyed sniffing etc.
