Its worth getting a spare rose bearing from Mike too, as they have been known to break.
I had to replace one on a freinds F in our hotel carpark in Germany a few weeks ago. It was luck it broke then rather then when we were out on the road.

Are they easy to fit? or would replacing the joints be a garage job? Thanks for the tip

It is not difficult, just time consuming. You need to remove the T-bar, centre fascia (inc radio etc) and centre console (bit between the seats) to gain access to the gear level mechanism, to replace the bearing (if you have roll hoops or a windstop fitted these will also need removing to allow the T-bar to be removed).
It took 2 of us (1 who had done it before) 1.5 hours to do this and get it back together again.
The bolt in the rose bearing has a shoulder at the end of the thread, which prevents the cable fixing bottoming properly on the bolt, so a thrust washer should be fitted under the cable end fixing. The washer should have been supplied in the slick shift kit but some people sem to neglect to fit it. If this washer is not present that the chances of the bolt breaking are significantly greater, so it may be worth having a dry run at a repair and taking the car apart, just to check this washer is in place.
Unless of course, you had the slick shift fitted by Mike himself, who is aware of this problem and so always fits the washer.
Its still worth getting a spare rose bearing IMO though, as if it did break, a normal garage or dealer may not be able to get a replacement bearing, so you would need to get one from Mike anyway, so its worth 'being prepared'.
