Insurance responsibility

You'd be charged with permitting, unless you loaned them the car on the express condition that they were insured to drive it. In those circumstances you'd be ok.

Was 'observing' in the local mags court recently when one of these cases came up.
Driver not insured driving his mate's car with said mate in passenger seat.
Driver said he 'thought he was insured on mate's insurance'.
RK said 'he thought driver had his own insurance'.
Both found guilty. Both big fine and points...
Moral of the story...never, ever let anyone drive your vehicle unless you KNOW they are insured....
