Hi guys,

Just wondering the procedure for speeding tickets in Europe? I was a naughty boy over the weekend, getting flashed by forward facing cameras in both Belgium and Germany. Now, I think I might be OK, as my front number plate was a standard white one (without the GB sticker) so there’s no country of origin on the front of the car. Am I right in thinking that they don’t have access to the UK database anyway, or am I likely to get a fine through the post?

Any advice would be great

Cheers

Iain

Doh. Maybe the position of the steering wheel might just give it away ?

AFAIK, correct, although they are planning to change this soon.

It is very unlikely you will get anything and if you do then just ignore it as there is no mechanism in place at the moment to enforce it

Used to love flying around in my UK registered car

it was night, besides, it's not just us that has the steering wheel there, I could have been a visiting Australian or Japanese tourist

the style of the plate might give it away, but it's a private on so then again.....

cheers for the advice lads
