If the engine speed increases but the car does not move a lot the clutch surface could be gone. How is the clutch any slipage?

Someone said a while ago that replacement carpets can be found at
www.autostyle.co.uk

It was said previously that they are the people who make the original also.

The clutch is new and installed at the lotus dealer in atlanta. The reason for asking is that I drove a 300zx turbo and when the turbo kicked in it would through you back in the seat and my lotus don't seem to do that. This is the first lotus I have owned and never drove any other one.

Thanks for the help.

Atlanta? Are you in Atlanta? If not what city are you in so I may direct you to a person with an 88. That way you can A/B the car with one known to be working correctly. If you are in or near Atlanta Brian Skeogh has a very good example of an 88. I chat with on a regular basis.

I have an 88 and it does not through your head back unless you really rev the crap out of it.

I am located 100 miles north of Atlanta. I live in Anderson S.C. just 3 miles from the Georgia line. Atlanta is the closest place that even know what type of car it is. Around here only a few know what you have but no one in this area can or will work on it.

Thanks David

Joe Grassi is just north of Atlanta. He used to be mechanic to Esprit race car team and now has his own shop there.

Calvin ,
Can you tell me how to get in touch with him or have him get in touch with me. Would like to see if he wants a new customer in this area. I would like someone to look at the car and tell me what need to be done to it to make it right.

Thanks for all your help,

Also thanks to all that responded , I am greatful,

David
