A lot of plod get a good bashing on here, some rightfully so, others not so...

I had the real pleasure of speaking to and meeting Lambo cop over the weekend, what a top copper, a real honest to god - down to earth Traffic cop with a real sense of duty and petrolheadedness t'boot.

even though he'd spent Saturday morning scraping somebody out of the Kingsway Tunnel in time for our Saturday Tunnel run (cheers mate) and taking time out to spend a few moments with us on Sunday after a particulary nasty double fatal on the strand on Sunday (thanks for the heads up!).

i just wanted to express my thanks for letting us have a poke around your Traffic car on Saturday and hope to take your offer up on the next Tunnel Run for you know what

and if your off on the next one feel free to be my Passenger, but leave the laser at home

I'm sure many of the other Tunnelers will be along to express there thanks as well as a few mentioned what athroughly nice/approachable bloke you were too !

I would like to comment on the above, in particular to the "nice /approachable bloke", I was surprised/shocked by the attitude that the two police officers had,in particular the "lady police Officer" when asking us all to move on,at 05.30 Sunday morning.
I am not surprised any more that the Police have so much aggro when dealing with the "general public", I am sure that had they spoke in a more friendly/approachable manner, other than the aggressive verbal assault we recieved from out of the Police car window!.This may well have had a different outcome, had this not been a group of abliging citizens.
Returning to the "nice /approachable bloke", yes it is nice to be able to talk, instead of shouting!!.
I would of thought in this day and age the Police would be taught how to deal with the General public, and not treat everybody as a "hooligan", and also to act in a professional manner.
