Saturday at about 14:15 an immaculate Ferrari F40 passing through Headingley. Totally stunning, my all time favourite car and only the third time I've ever seen one on the road. Big thumbs up to the owner for actually taking it out and using it. Would have waved had I been in the Elise but I was on the bus. So it would have been a bit weird.

Otley road these days has more potholes than a really potholey thing - full marks for even driving it on that road IMHO.

You're not kidding. I'm sure people think I'm pissed when they follow me into town and witness my pothole avoidance tactics.

Not sure I'm with you on your car choice though. I don't really like the look of the 456, but the F40 is

Very true, why is it I can hammer it around all day on a B road without problem but when I try to drive home on one of the main roads in Leeds if feel like I'm about to snap the suspension and the CD is skipping all over the place.

F40 not a Yorkshire PHeader then?

Often see a Silver 456 parked outside Salvos in Headingley.

F40's - Just love em.

Can't verify for sure.

But a certain north Leeds, ex racing driver from the 70's , used to frequent a Horsforth resturant quite a lot.

And an F40 definately sounds his style

I followed an F40 through Headingley with F40 number plates sometime last summer. The sound and aura was a sight to behold. I followed the car down a back street just to hear the noise reverb off the walls! Turns out the driver was giving passenger rides to friends in his street - sadly I only found that out afterwards otherwise I may have been able to blag a passenger ride!

Saw it again yesterday!

Was at the BP garage near my place, looked like it was getting some air in the tyres. Then pulled out infront of the bus I was on (yep on the bus again....) and followed it towards town. Looked and sounded gorgeous

Oneday........

Hi, I'm new here, but a seasoned Forum-ologist. Drive a 330d. Post on m5board.com and antandpete.co.uk

There's an Enzo quite often in the JCT600 showroom over the other side of town that's owned by somebody local. Much more impressive than an F40 IMHO.

F40: 1,311 made
Enzo: 350 made

JCT600 was founded by Jack Tordoff.

Used to rally Cortinas in the 60's that carried the reg JCT600.

Is he still involved, I wonder?

I've seen the F40 a few times around Alwoodley/ Harrogate Road but only recently. During the same period the couple of Nobles that were in the north Leeds area haven't been seen. Any coincidence....?

Nope FXX is a different breed of animal altogether. The official figures say 399 plus the Tsunami appeal car but there are plenty of rumours that there are at least another 12 around. If you add up the numbers of cars supposedly present in each country right now, it is a lot higher than 399!
