Hi everyone, would like to know the answer to this question.Has anyone got accurate and honest figures for 0-60 and 0-100mph times and maybe overtaking times such as 30-50 and 50-70mph or whatever before and after just having the ecu remapped (and no other mods), which if i read these posts accurately raises bhp from 354 to about 400 with a corresponding hike in torque as well.

We dont have absolute figures on a CV8. But on the odd accasion we have timed 6.0 VXR we got sub 4.5 sec to 60 and just over 10 to 100.

Come on guys, what a poor response.(apart from you Caspy-thanks, but is that a fair comparison?} Hard to believe really, that with all the tuning and upgrades going on with your cars, you then don't go out there and see what sort of times your hard earned money has got you.

Part of the problem being there's hardly any of that particular model of CV8 on the road - its the rarest version. Hardly any 2005 models sold - nearly all 2004 - the VXR outsold the 05 CV8 from the figures we saw posted here a few weeks back. Lot of the 05 plate models sold by dealers on here are 04 model that hadnt been registered on 04 plates.

Have not got any times for acceleration yet. Have been having too much fun to care! The difference after the wortec re-map is considerable. This is in a 2005 CV8 Monaro re-map only.
The acceleration is comparable with the 2005 VXR Monaro wortec re-mapped and exhausted, up to approx.120mph,maximum speed achieved with both cars running together at a track day.
I would expect the VXR to pull away at speeds beyond 120mph due to the extra power overcoming higher drag and slightly better aero.

I agree some before and after times would be usefull however for the time being i am content to guage performance by the surprised expressions on other peoples faces.

Ditto - I had a 996 carrera 4 baiting me yesterday and I let him get alongside (he was on full tilt) and then hit it. He pulled about 2 car lengths and then I went by at about 120 - 130. These cars once above 100 or so really come into their own.

I agree soem before an dfter figs would be interesting... bit late for me really although I am going for a cam upgrade in the new year would like to get power/torque and performance figs before and after
