Pre-Xmas airfield hoon

Abingdon Airfield
Abingdon Airfield
Motorsport Events has announced its first track day at Abingdon Airfield. A statement from the organisation said that: "We are certain that this magnificent airfield will be extremely popular amongst track day drivers. We are pleased to also confirm that we will be running events throughout 2006 at Abingdon."

When: Friday 9 December

Where: Abingdon Airfield

Price: £89

Details

Abingdon offers a hugely challenging track layout with a good circuit type feel, but with the huge run off areas of an airfield. The surface is in good condition and the venue is suitable for all silenced road-legal cars.

Open pit lane so loads of track time, with coaching available from experienced motorsport professionals. Fun and friendly atmosphere coupled with firm but fair driving standards rules. 100dBa noise limit strictly enforced.

Abingdon is within easy reach of the M40 motorway, south of Oxford.

Motorsport Events also said it has a few places left at Bassingbourn on 3 December and at Keevil on 12 December.

Not particularly. Was there for the CarNival in August and it's kinda average airfield size, not mega bruntingthorpe size.

My first event with motorsportevents and I was pretty impressed. Good well organised day, with a relaxed environment but very proffesional at the same time.

The Track it-self was pretty slippy but with a long'sh 120 mph straigh (depending on cars power) and the surface was nice smooth, not bumpy like Brunters.

IRCC there's another day planned for Febuary? well I'll definitely be going back for another go.

Thanks
