Camera Direction

Recently I was going along a dual carriageway northbound, saw the usual southbound camera van on other carriageway facing north, well the arse and camera facing north. Went past sedately at 86 (apparently). To my surpise 2 weeks later I get an NIP. The van is set up for Southbound cars on the southbound carriageway and shot me over/through the armco , across 3 lanes and from behind! Many GPS detectors these days have directional ability, but obviously this shows that camera vans can shoot both carriageways from one side of the road. Or have I been conned!?
