Try http://ssl.delti.com/mytires/start.html

P ZERO ROSSO Asimmetrico 235/40 ZR18 91Y : currently £125.30 delivered inc VAT.
Local Quick it wants £235 fitted plus 7 days for delivery!

Have used them before and they delivered in 2 days (much smaller tyres though).
They can arrange local/mobile fitting.

Anyone tried them, or, any other mail order tyre suppliers?

Martin.

The Vxr has P zero Rosso 245/35 zr 19 93y, hence the price diff.

Original equip Bridgestones are around £115 inc vat and fitting.

I used Blackcircles through pistonheads, they give you mail order prices and fitting at local independents. The tyres get delivered and fitted for the price you see online Worked well for me last time.

I have always used Micheldever near Basingstoke for tyres. They see a lot of exotica and so hopefully know what they're doing.

I do always worry though about someone damaging the alloys. The rear wheels on the 965 turbo I had cost £1,200 EACH new.

Seriously though, does anyone do anything like take photos of their wheels before taking them in? Otherwise you'd never be believed if you claimed damage..

No dont take picstures, but do mention that any damage and I will be claiming for new ones! They are then always fitted very carefully!

I always watch them putting the tyres on. I also chat through any know damage with the fitter befor starting the job. Found a great guy on the Island with all the good tools to get tyres on cleanly. He had some plastic "helping hands" which I thought were great.

Yeah, that's a good example. I thought you were never supposed to use metal tools with alloy wheels, but every tyre place I've ever been to use metal tools..?!

Here's my april 05 tyres pre-change:

VX HSV GTS 300, a fair amount of car-park chicanery and a trip to Pro-Tyre in Gloucester next day.
(P.S. also £185 fitted per corner 245/35 ZR19 PZero Rosso's)

Black lines are still in the car-park today!
At least I got my moneys worth!

Cheers

Got my Toyo Proxes T1-R's 255/35/18's for ~ £145 each from Micheldever near Winchester. I think the fronts which were the standard 235's came to about £135 each. Good prices and good service.
