mornin' - i dont know too much about the car, but i recognise the garage - as it's where i bought my wheels a year ago. I took my car back there for a servicing about 3 months ago and that GT2 was there even then.

The fella that owns the place used to have his own pork racing team - BCR. Drop me an email if you want more colour on the (after) service/ my experience of them, as its a specialist you won't hear too much about on PH.

BCR: three letter to make my blood boil

The team were present at a Brands Hatch trackday and their moronic behaviour ruined it for most people.

What part of no overtaking in corners don't you understand?, many offs, I had a few choice words but they seemed oblivious and didn't even apologise

No, but thinking of how much cash would be burned to the Taxman in VRT for the pleasure of driving it on Irish roads makes my eyes go all wet.....

yeah my old car , have a ''GOOD'' look , and make your decision on the car , i didnt get on with it but if thats what your after then good luck, i wasnt happy with the company i dealt it with , drove all the way to london from york , they knew i was going and the car i went to see had a flat battery !!!!!!, great service when your spending nearly £75,000 which i spent with them !!, i would certainly NOT present a car like this especially when a customer is booked in to see a car .

Good luck.

Bit pointless you typing a reply really, it's not going to harm you in any way telling the guy what the history is or anyone else thinking of spending that sort of money, I doubt the dealer will help because of data protection act.
I thought it was the point of coming on these sites to help each other out, not to play guessing games!!!!

it is , thats exactly why i said call porsche silverstone, now ive said it ''twice'' maybe he will call them.

The car came from them , they will tell him the history in detail i expect.

Nothing to do with guessing games , ive said ''porsche silverstone'' twice , call them , they supplied the car , they know the history i expect , i bought it from a dealer indirectly , they traded the car from silverstone , then sold to me,...hence talk with silverstone. simple really...

Points i did not like ;
A. Handling was terrible on that perticuler car.
B. Didnt like all the torque steer.
C. Car in my eyes had had too much paintwork for me and i always asked myself WHY ? ( you never really know a cars history unless you have it from day 1 )... as the majority have had some past. Even from day 1 it could have had paintwork ie; damaged on delivery truck etc etc etc
D. Too many dry edges on the painwork tells me something is not right , im sure porsche would not have let a car go out of the factory that costs over £100,000 new with dry edges on nearly ''every'' panel. My suggestion to you is have the paint measured that will tell you a story !! Make sure every panel is checked ...i wish i had before i bought the car - my mistake ! , one i wont make again.
E. Has the dry roller on the engine been changed ?? it was very noisy !! not a big job just needed doing.

Like i say unless you have seen the car in the factory , picked the car up from the factory you never can tell , if your happy with what OPC Silverstone say then buy it , its a amazingly quick car , maybe too quick for me, but i have 110% more fun from my GT3RS.

Good - luck .....Keith

Keith, ever so slightly O/T - you don't own a number plate with your 2 initials and "911" at the end do you?...I sold a white 911E to a guy named Keith from oop north and I've been wondering what happened to it...this was 14 years ago, mind!

Wet road, GT2, technician on roadtest with HRF (heavy right foot), go figure.
All allegedly of course.

I heard that story too. Is this the car in question?

I wouldn't expect a dealer to tell you much. I got precious little about my car out of mine, and data protection is the reason they trot out. Not that its valid as you aren't asking for info that ties the car to an individual, but whatever...

I don't where the car is but I have an Elcometer paint thickness tester you could borrow for the cost of postage

(and very useful it has proved!)
