Just curious if anyone knows anything about this. I got flashed tonight on my way home but the camera was facing me on the other side of the road. I know the camera is there and also know that there is no markings on my side of the road (there is on the other). It is a narrow enough road with a single lane on each side and single white line. I was doing 120kph (75) in a 100 (62). Can I be done for this? I know the laws are broadly the same here but was wondering had it happened anyone before and what could I expect? It's a basic gatso camera, we don't have any the new newer specs or anything.

It also scared the St out of me, in the dark, right in my face .

gatsos cant get you if you are facing them, not here anyway.

EDIT. to clarify - they can take your picture but the scamera partnerships cant do anything but sit and fume at the picture of your ugly mug

Is it due to the lack of markings on the road to verify the speed? Also, I must have been almost out of shot for the second photo.

the gatso just isnt sanctioned to take forward facing photos, pretty sure any lines on your side of the road are to stop people crossing lanes to avoid the lines
