Calander entry and Events

This follows on from start of discussion here re use of calender and events.

Personally I think the calender is a great tool if it was used more, also as you say if you were viewing someones profile you could see at a glance all the events they were going to attend etc.
I wonder if it would be possible (if not already in the pipeline
) to implement a system whereby the events forum was forced to be more closely integrated with the calender, i.e. each event would ideally have to have a calender entry and also one corresponding main thread. At the top of the main thread would be the calender entry (a bit like when you click to discuss a news item example with news item is at the top) except the top section would be dynamic and update with the attendees as they added themselves. Would also be great for the tunnel runners forum as well as when attendees get to 150+ it gets to take up a large chunk of each page everytime one name is added to the bottom.
