Ted - time for new servers?

Hi Ted,

I have noticed increased problems with very slow updating, very slow posting, hanging etc etc.

I have a 10meg link - so it is certainly not a problem my end.

Given the amount of traffic on this site, is it perhaps time to consider new servers or host?

Diden't Know TVR had dabbled in hardware manufacture in the first place?

Hardware's fine. Twas a problem with some inefficient code of mine.

Getting problems, but it doesn't look like a server capacity problem. If it was it'd be consistent, not suddenly crap for half an hour at 7 in the evening.

sin bin partition/dissenfranchisemnt interface playing up again,

But then GCHQ would be quaking in their boots as they realise petrolted has managed to make a 486 processor faster than your average kray supercomputer...

^^^ I read somewhere (as you do) that the average PC is now much faster than a Cray 1.
