Stopped a stolen sports car that activated the ANPR system in early morning rush hour traffic. The male driver tried to make a run for it and we soon discovered why.
He was on route to Mags Court for theft of that very same vehicle as the County Force involved hadnt managed to yet recover it.

The 'neck' of some people eh?

What happened to the guy Tony? Hope he got what was coming!

Not a case of shadenfrauder syndrome, just like to see scrotes get their dues. My favourite programme of all time was by the BBC Watchdog team where they did a special programme where they got a list from the police of the most persistent baildodgers. They said them a letter and phone call inviting them to take part in a big prize TV programme. It is stupid enought they would want to be on TV in their situation, but they got them to the studio and played the quiz. The first question was always along the lines of 'Have you ever committed a crime?' and ended up with further humilation until the BiB stepped out from behind the curtain to read them their rights and make a nice show for the camera as they were taken outside to the waiting squad car!

Anyway, back to topic.... what was the outcome?

Of course he will. He's a criminal!

Oh, sorry, just realised it wasn't a speeding offence! He'll just get a slap on the wrist. Didn't have any anti-gay literature in the car, did he? Or a list of names he might have read out outside D(r)owning Street? Pity, could really have thrown the book at him then!

tony perhaps if its possible you could let is know what he is sentenced to after the trial.

This might give us some insight in to just why he has such large brass balls

Does anyone on this forum believe that the criminal justice system we have today can and will deal with this offender in a proportionate and effective way?

not unless the police say he was speeding or had a illegal tyre or somthing major like that, I think he will prolly get a hefty 30 pound fine or a good telling off possibly both if he had long hair.

McIntyre's Big Sting. What's even better is that they pulled the same trick for three or four different programs.

Hi!!
I`ve been slighlty busy recently what with a new arrival (baby boy) and change of job from Traffic to the Centre of Excellence (Drviving School)
Other than that though I`m fine and enjoying the new job which is far more rewarding than traffic.....(never ever thought I would say that!!)
Can`t help but notice that Tony hasn`t named his operator yet.....!!

He's probably desperately trying to get his story straight (ie finding witnesses to him "running".
