Been in the engine bay a few times, and always think when I see how the airbox feeds the six throttle bodies that the sharp edge hinders air flow into those large cylinders.

Heres what I mean!!!

It might only help a little, but it would be very to do.

Not too sure that thinning the shaft would be good practice, discussed a while back.

Why not try it and let us know?

Sounds reasonable, but worth checking how the hose deforms upstream of the throttle body - it may be that the ID immediately upstream of the throttle is less that the OD of the throttle body if you see what I mean.

essentially what you are saying about the radii is like inlet trumpets which have a nice smooth entry into Carbs or TB's, so yes smoothing airflow into the inlet is normally a good thing. I'd be interested to see if it makes a difference if done.

it makes a big difference find the courtney turbo website (vauxhalls)they sell a machined out body and flatter profile butterfly and gives 30% more flow or something
so make the i/d of the throttle body the biggest you can and the butterly to match should make a big difference
