Yep, like you said 10mins of practise and no looking back, much better control of the car etc, not fond of Auto boxes in real life so not sure why I did not go manual 'in-game' before.

I was even more surprised no one else beat me. Really not one of my tracks, and I only ran at the begining of the week. I'm try and run some on Vegas tonight. I like most the Vegas tracks.

Thanks mate. Yeh like you i only ran in early in the week. I was then just waiting for someone to beat my time.
I like this weeks track, i'd not really driven it much before. I can improve on my time by a bit but unsure i can break into the 1.08's. Will try though
I can be as much as .70 up over the first 4 or 5 corners then blow it over the rest of the lap. I'm hoping to get some time to play over the weekend.
I need to work on a way of convincing the new g/f that watching me play PGR3 would be a great way to spend the evening. All she needs is a WAP and I can take my 360 up there. lol

On this track it's the 5th corner and then the sweeping right hander taking you in to the short tunnel that are my most important. Earlier this evening i put in anther 1.09.12 equal to my best lap yesterday however the difference was i hit the wall (fairly hard) on the first corner yet a good and fast 5th corner and i took the sweeping right hander at silly speeds and i got a 1.09.12 out of it. Was using that ghost to help me take good lines through that section everytime until M$ decided to release an update that kicked me off... GRRRR..... Still decided I would login and keep trying and i was putting in some really nice laps. I finally broke the 1.08 barrier with a 1.08.83. I was frustratingly close to the "worlds best" for the last three corners but sadly i didn't take them that well.

Quick Q, what gear are you (anyone) going through the quick flick right/left and under the 'tunnel' in, I think (memory) I'm trying 5th dropping to 4th for the right handed exit from that complex onto the straight, just pull 5th again before dropping to 3rd/4th? for the left, 3rd for the right kink then flat out to the line.
I seem to stay with the ghost through 1,2,3,4 then he always exits 4 with more speed and keeps pulling away for the rest of the lap ?

My 1.09.12 was done taking it in 5th gear then as you say dropping to 4th for the righthander leading onto the straight. However my 1.08 was done taking it in 4th then switching to 3rd for the righthander. That whole section (including the righthander) can be taken without lifting off.
The fastest guy takes it using 4th then 3rd to. To take the righthander leading to the straight in 4th you really want to be doing 95 through it. I've taken it at 90 in 4th and could see the ghost pull away slightly. I know if you use the full width and get a great line that corner can be taken at 98-100 as i've done that several times.
I will give a little breakdown corner by corner of what gear i've used and what speed I take corners. Some corners speed isn't as important as taking a good line in my opinion.
Corner: gear: speed
1st corner: 3rd: N/a
2nd corner: 3rd: N/a
3rd corner: 3rd: N/a
4th corner: 3rd: should be on the accelerator all the way through this corner.
5th corner: switch to 4th just before the corner lift off for 1/2 a second then accelerate all the way through: 110
6th corner (sweeping right left): 4th: around 127-135
7th corner: 3rd: 90-100
8th corner: 3rd: 90
9th corner: 3rd: 70-75
Final corner: 4th: enter corner around 120 exit corner 124-127.
