Subject to approval by the server boss

Would anyone be interested in running in a midweek GTL league using the slowest cars at the shortest tracks ?
There would probably be 2 or 3 races on the night. 10 mins practice, 5 mins qual and 10 lap race.
We could do 1 race with Minis, 1 with Cortinas & 1 with Alfas, all at the same track.
Swap track & cars each week / race meeting.

After several races this week, I conclude that this is where the real racing is to be found

Me too - to often I screw up eary on and then spend the next 20 minutes getting in everyone's way! This sounds more suited to my "style" of driving!

Wednesday night sounds perfect for this.

We could have three quick races at the same track each Wednesday, first all in Minis, then Cortins then Alfas?

I think we could run two leagues without a problem.

I'd be tentative about running two servers at the same time, however, we could try it...

I don't think we'd need to run two servers at the same time. I was thinking more along the lines of midweek races to supplement the main league.
We could possibly run at the short version of the upcoming league race, if there is one.

Yeah... sounds ok to me

Or we could start next week informally then start two more real leagues (Sun and Wed) after the current one has finished.. and maybe combine points from midweek and weekend races!

Dave.

this sounds fun, was only saying the other day how the current league is all a bit serious, some small car action on the small circuits sounds just like the antidote but can we include the Fiat 500 in the Alfa / Cortina line up? I drove it for the first time the other evening and it realy is fun I seem to remember you liking the 500 to dont you Ian?

then maybe the Minis race on their own, this tends to lead to brave corner passing, which is quite funny in the minis as they're so small.

Wednesday gets the from me

Yes, I really like the FIAT 500, it just doesn't seem to be a popular choice. Maybe we could include it in with the mini races ?

can we have one race that is just "tc65" as there a lot of very closely matched cars in that category?

Ford Falcons and Minis often get the same laptime at most tracks!

I just meant by havng two sessions up at the same time - to save all the mucking about with restarting the server etc...

Could leave the sunday one up all the time, and then have a short course server to play around with...

Wouldn't be any need to restart the server would there? If it was just one track, just make sure all the cars we will be using in the night are available, but specify beforehand that only some of the cars are allowed for the 1st race
But, on the other hand I just woke up and realised I am talking crap..
Hmm... I'll look into the double-servering

Dave.
