Rpg for PS2 advice please.

Hi all,
I'm after a rpg for the ps2 that is turn based and has the old format of warrior, elf, wizard, rogue. You know the sort of thing! It doesn't have to be a recent release as i'm more into playability than graphic fight scenes. Although if there are any new ones out i would be interested.
It's been a while scince i bought or even read up on any games, so all recommendations greatly appreciated.

ps. i'd also like to get a racing game for those 'other' days. Are any of the old Gran Turismo games worth a look, or are there better ones out there?
