Is the material just faded & messy or knackered & torn ? I ask because you can get products to re-blacken the surface and clean it from Renovo etc... cheers Giles

I have read somewhere else on the forum that Fabsil not only waterproofs the roof but will also make it look like new again. Trouble is the camping shops i've tried only have the spray on stuff and not the tin with paintbrush variety.

Fabsil - find it at RockRun an outdoor shop at http://www.rockrun.com/shop/prod.html?d=6&t=170&p=1428&sid=22f6121becb70e74c4e7359c7b0f4050 Renovo at http://www.renovointernational.com/ I havn't used either yet but probably still will - I recently used the Hood rejuventation pack produced by Auto Glymm and that has worked very well at waterproofing but I understand Fabsil is preferred. Try www.rockrun.com for the all types of fabsil including the paint on version (its there if you keep looking through the categories - equipment proofing I think). I ordered it online and had it delivered with no problem. Also www.renovo.co.uk for the colouring products - but I have not tried this yet (soon) Cheers

I used Renovo when I had my S3, it worked a treat, amazing stuff! I have got a photo somewhere of the two roof panels side by side, one treated, one not, What a difference! The roof looked new after I had finished. Just be sure to take the time to mask up all the exposed paint work when doing the rear section because it can drip very easily down the seams and if you get it on the paint it can be a bugger to get off. Regards Matt
