Does anyone have a spare place available in a hotel or B&B following someone pulling out of a trip, etc.? Alternatively, space on a floor somewhere for a sleeping bag would good. Otherwise, I'll have to get the old tent out, but will prob freeze my a55 off!

Anyone got any other ideas?

Everyone and their Grandmother.

That's why I always avoid Easter weekend.

Try all the B&Bs on www.nurburgring.org.uk

As DJ says, Easter is a very busy time. Yesterday and today were extremely quiet, as yesterday's VLN race was cancelled. On 3 of my laps I didn't even see another car.

In a few places there are full-width stretches of new tarmac maybe 20-30 metres long (such as at bottom of Fuchsrohre) which smooth things out a bit but aren't long enough to make much of difference.
Only major change is new tarmac in Pflanzgarten 2 leading up to Sprunghugel. It's faster there now - just what we needed!

As Flemke says, a few short patches, but PF2 onwards is much better in the wet than one might typically expect. I didn't get a dry lap in all weekend, so can't comment on outright ultimate grip.

Well, the weather for the weekend doesn't look too great - rain forecast for all days apart from Sunday. Average temp around 3-4 degrees. Nice.

I can therefore forecast a fair few crashes happening, or alternatively a car park rammed full of cars (mostly the ones with 4wd and a Jap rally heritage) - cos the track is wet!!

Hardly need cold weather and rain to cause crashes

I'm there Thurs/Fri/Sat.

Looks like it's gonna be stupidly busy though, as most Hotels seem full. We're staying in the Dorint. If its wet it'll be chaos.......
