Was yesterday coming home through the Darford tunnel hard in third gear listening to the Wortec zorst, and judging by other people driving they noticed it as well. Had a good day down at Greens with Brian met Paul after he weaved his magic on the car,Also I had a little look in the future, The future looks good I saw the headers that are nearly ready with the sports cat's great looking bits of kit, and there is talk of more suspension kits, and more enhancments are in the pipe line things look good.

Back to the car, unable to realy play hard because have to bed in the new brakes but I think it has a new sense of ugency when prodded.

Thanks again to Brian,Paul and Jeff who kept me imformed of the cars progress through the day it felt like a relative was having surgery and waiting for the all clear.

Hi Paul

Pleased it all went well - as you know jealous of the mods but hope you enjoy it once the brakes have bedded in! Good to bump into you down there, sorry I couldn't stay and chat any longer - I was a little late for work as it was!!!

Shut up everyone!! I haven't got mine yet, don't you realise that this is tormenting me?

Only 1 more day to wait and then it will be my pleasure handing over the £1 for the tunnel, maybe I might have to forget something and go back?

Over 7 miles of tunnel? In a convey?

I will pass on that, would be a sweet sound but not sure my eardrums would still be there at the other end!

Darren, its handy keeping an ashtray, or poske full of £1 coins, you never quite know when you are going to need them! I drive to Canary Wharfe twice a month to pick up my kids, and I drive through the Blackwall Tunnel (when its open), onto Canary Wharfe, then through the Limehouse Link, back around to pass RajBoy, then through Rotherhithe Tunnel, around the donut, back through Rotherhithe, past Rajboy, back through Limehouse Link and back through Blackwall Tunnel..........HEAVEN!!! Worth the road tax alone!!!

Great to speak to you as well Mark/huffy saw you car getting a good look over then the wheels came off so you got a through inspection Could not help but think a set of VXR brakes may look very good on the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!did they find or fix the leak.

Mose being a caring parent that you are And seeing the route you take to collect the kids I would insist on them at least once/twice a week!!!

Thanks to caspy for that bit off advice about posting have now worked out the legends only work on the white pages

Paul - Funny that thing about the brakes........just had new pads and discs put on and I thought when I got the call to say mine were shot (not by me I hasten to add!!!) that we should have just taken yours off and put them straight on mine....anyway the new ones are now fitted so too late!!!! As for the leak - fingers crossed!!!!!

OK, had the exhaust done today. I just have one problem, a real serious one!

Paid my £1, went through Dartford Tunnel and then this MONSTER GRIN appeared. I have tried everything, nothing will shift it.

Anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know any remedies?

Sorry Daz, the disfigurement is permanent and you'll just gonna have to learn to live with it and the weired starey looks you'll get.

There are remedies, but believe me, you do not want to go that way... It involves signing a piece of paper with the letter V and the number 5 on it.

Daz no sign of mine receding yet, find myself using the car a night to collect the kids from friends instead of using the family car, and do not have to ring them to come out just a blip on the down change and they know I am there.

May consider putting in a mileage claim at Vauxhall for product awareness, where as before you could drive down the hight street and be missed and not seen. Now when heads turn and see the car, people are now aware what a Monaro looks and sounds like, what do think Stu!!!

Cost a little more than a pound but I finally had my 6 litre VXR doctored. Headers, sports cats and whatever else in the way of shiny new pipes that was required bolting on and the electronic tweaking done, oh, and as a surprise they threw in a Rip Shifter, guess they thought I needed it, lol. Loud and quick now is an understatement! Can’t thank Brian, Jeff and whoever else was involved down at Greens enough for what they did and for the loan car which was also awesome, thanks guys, has completely changed my opinion of Vauxhall dealers, well worth the trip, be seeing you soon as I can! As for the Dartford Tunnel, that’s pants, too much road noise, much better around town, not mine I hasten to add, late at night, that is fun, so now I’m just like you other sad gits, windows down freezing my ass off heater flat out with that stupid HSV grin, of course that’s without the wife. On the motorways I normally cruse at 85 in good conditions, this time going up the road I noticed quite a few cars hanging back with windows open obviously enjoying that part of the symphony I can’t hear. It’ll take a bit of getting used to with the new shifter & all, right gear, right speed, right sound, but I will. And I got 26.4 mpg on a full tank, best yet. Guess the 0–60 time has reduced as well, so what am I going to do with all those extra half seconds saved, any suggestions?

Shadok I saw your car being fettled when mine was in on Monday (been a good week at Greens three cars!!!) and the headers you had fitted looked pretty impreesive along with the cats, what bhp/torque increase do you think you getting over standard?

Prototype trial un-official or whatever, they did it for me. Done about 600 miles now and convinced its sounding louder and better. Think Brian said +/- 70 bhp more.
