Going to take Dianne to the south of France next month, staying in Monaco on a Thursday (hotel by the harbour) leaving us Fri, Sat & Sun to get back to Le Havre late PM on the Sunday.

My question is can any recc a route, places of interest, places to stay on the way back? The idea being to take in the French Alps & looking for ideas based on personal experiences, your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Le Mount Saint Michel is awesome, not sure if you have been there or not.

Especially driving up to it.
