Some of you may be aware that it is the 200th anniversary of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's birth next weekend. To celebrate this momentous occasion there is a program of festivities planned for the weekend, centering on new illuminations for the Clifton Suspension Bridge. (There's more on the Brunel200 website.)

To help mark the day, there will be a contingent of Bristols from the Bristol Owners' Club visiting the Bristol Industrial Museum next Sunday (9th April) morning. There should be about 15-20 cars coming, and there should be a good variety of types too, right from 400 to Brigand. The plan says to be there for about 9.45, and to stay until we head off at about 12.45. I'll be there in the 410, and would be happy to say hello to any passing PHers.

D'oh!
I was expecting something completely different from the title of this thread. (Bristols! - rhyming slang - do I have to explain?)

Bear in mind that a lot of the roads around the Avon Gorge will be closed from quite early in the day due to the fireworks display that's being planned.

We'll be there on the Sunday morning. The fireworks are going to be on Saturday. A friend from Bristol told me the displays are usually pretty good there. In his words, "if there's one thing the council does well here it's blowing stuff up!" I'll be in town on Saturday so I'm hoping to watch it with a beer or two in Clifton's hostelries.
