My 2000 UK Spec GTS (R8 Clubsport) brake calipers need sorting out.

I have bust bleed valves on 2 (1 front 1 rear) and probably need new seals on at least those 2 for a good cleanout/reco.

Ive been trying to find the spec's out. Are they pbr or harrop 4 piston? What diameter pistons etc?
Just trying to source some reco kits through a mate in NZ so any information/details/part numbers etc appreciated.

Thanks

I am in the process of sorting the four pot calipers on my VT2 GTS-R,I am in contact with Harrop in Aus via their website at bottom is extract from their last email they sent me.I am just off to get my verniers out to check my piston diameter so I can order seal kits.

ps When I overhaul my calipers I will be putting goodridge hoses to replace rubber brake lines, big difference in feel/bite is expected as rubber hoses bulge giving rubbish feedback at the pedal (have replaced all my motorbikes in past from rubber to goodridge hoses and noticed big improvements even on brand new bikes-Hayabusa). Personally don't think £2.5k for AP's is worth it over standard HSV kit unless brake discs and calipers are done in, interesting to note if you shop around
you can pick up AP kit for £1750.00 + vat(yes that is 363f/343r discs/pads/hoses/fluid) only thing is you need to fit yourself. If you are 1/2 competent then this is easy enough to do.

Below is extract from my last email reply from Harrop in Aus
Hope this all helps
Nick

If you are running the HSV front and rear callipers 4 pots, we can do a repair kit for both front and rear. Front kit will cost AUD$88.00 . The rear kit will cost you AUD $78.00. This includes dust boots, seals, rings etc. No pistons though. I'm sure you would be able to source or get some pistons made up over there. Only other cost is freight but I
wouldn't expect that to be too much as the weight would be lucky to be 1
kg. Let me know what you wish to do Nicholas, regards Chris.

p.s. Are the piston sizes 1.500" and 1.625"?

Nick let me know if they are the same.
Mine run 5cm on rear and 6cm on front outside D. No idea on inside piston diameter.
Both 4 piston.

Yeah I meant outside diameter, as in measured with the wheel on, not the actual piston inside the caliper. Which is what I think Harrop mean.
I guess its about 1cm less for the actual piston.
