Does anyone know how light you can make an SR3 for racing? Remove the twin seat, air jacks and go CF with the body, change fittments for aircraft standard, etc, Much of what's left can't be improved on weight saving i would expect. Lighter exhaust silencer maybe?

Is 485kg kerb weight a reasonable expectation with some minimum dieting.....?

Would be interested in any reasonable suggestions you may have?

Carbon fibre body, bloody hell it would be cheaper to buy an aircraft or you could buy an Sr4 with the weight already saved.

I saw a 1200 Sr4 duff up a 1300 Sr3 at brands yesterday in the 750 motor club bike sports (28 minuite + 1 lap) race, now wish I had entered looked like good fun.

Fit 13" wheels - that'll save a load of weight.

Hmm...I meant going carbon fibre bodywork panels and rear wing.

13" wheels are out of the question as I'm running the bigger hi-spec rotor set-up and I am not really worried about the unsprung weight that I am currently carrying although everything helps.

Interesting thought tho...we will have to see.
