unfortunately the 04 brakes are not upto much and this is a standard failing..........

I am not to sure on the warrantee front but I doubt they are covered (unless some other fault is found)

After market discs and a different pad compound is the cheapest way to go (dba.com.au) or dig deep and go for AP Brakes.

The brakes are shit and all i seem to get from vauxhall is that it is down to abuse, if the car had bigger brakes i could drive harder.
I cant afford to put ap brakes on the car, and i have got loads of problems with it that have to be lookd at by greens.
Is there anyone from the Buckinghamshire rea with a monaro?

Hi Dave

We will endeavour to fight your corner still, and will resolve the other issues that you have on the car. I have a cpl of 'enhancements' that may be of interest. Will get Jeff to confirm everything next week.

How's business ?

I had several problems with my std 04 Monaro stoppers, like they didnt work ! Excess runout on the fronts, big rusty rings on the rears where it should have been shiny. Might well have been "abused" but not excessively IMO. Have the full house APs now thanks to Paul and Graham, and they are simply stunning, and dead smooth, no shuddering, and best of all - no fade and baggy pedal !!
Save up for them, you'll be glad you did.
