Firstly sorry to read about the loss of a member of this group, is always sad when someone passes on, but, this time on earth we spend together is only a part of a progression to something far better, I’m sure, and we all meet up back where we came from and everything’s peace and love from there on in.

Secondly, some chuffing toe rag has smashed my drivers side window, ripped out my satnav and scampered, in broad daylight on my driveway, can you believe it, bastards. My insurance company Privilege deals with Autoglass who appear to be having a problem sourcing a replacement window. Anyone know UK stockist of Monaro glass?

Sorry to hear that fella.

Don't know of anyone other than Vauxhall that might be an altrnative to Autoglass I'm afraid.

suspect Vauxhall are your best bet - my repair centre had to get all the parts through our "monaro" dealer in Scotland - probably why it took so bloody long to get them. You could try caspy - he seems able to get parts fairly quickly.

Possibly cheaper than via Vauxhall, as LSV are trying to reduce their extensive stock levels.

Autoglass should start sorting it tomorrow.
They came last night and taped Perspex in the gap to keep the noise out.
£60 excess no NCB loss, satnav not covered.
I'll not make that mistake again!
Hide everything otherwise these toerags will take all your stuff.

"Doug" you might want to check that part number as you have the one for a VT series commodore............

The part number lists as 92177509 (r/hand) or 92177510 (l/hand).....................

Want someone who knows what they are doing to fix it.
Not Autoglass, therefore prepared to pay the extra.
Wasn’t impressed with their temporary repair some 10 hrs later at 01:00 hrs in the morning, kept falling out. My insurance premium may be cheap, could be you get what you pay for, might have to do some in-depth research come renewal time. Doug LSV said he has drivers door glass for 05 VXR. LSV closest to home, hopefully Wednesday that’s where I’m heading. Got 6 days from now to fix otherwise I’m in a bind.
