I am converted!!

Just had AP's fitted by LSV and am amazed at difference when compared to my original HSV GTS-R brakes which were Harrop 4pot 343mm dia front 330mm dia 4pot rears.
Still bedding in at moment but loving it.

Cheers

You could have saved a fortune by fitting Porterfield pads to your OE brakes, but you have fitted the best.

Any EBC pads are frankly pants compared to for example Pagid, Mintex (my choice if Porterfields not available) and Porterfield Carbon / Kevlar pads. Porterfields will make your AP brakes stunning, original brakes up to AP standard with oe pads. Even doing a 'lot of track stuff' I find the Porterfield pads alone good enough. One of the better kept performance secrets I regret, wish I had known of the lack of knowledge about them on here.

Nick, glad your enjoying the car! Looking at the pic in your profile that could well be the only time the car has seen snow, as it certainly didn't in my 4 years and i doubt it saw any in Malcolms brief summer lovin' with it.

Nick, so far...E55Amg fell asleep, RS6 fell asleep, RS4 now that was very very impressive but with my seat back hardly any room for the kids (gutted). So now its either a luxobarge XJR/A8 thingy with a cheapish toy in the garage (DAX, VX220turbo,Caterfield(if I fit any)Griffith or the like............Or split the money and get a Monaro VXR and whatever the wife wants. Trouble is if we do that we're back to 3 big cars which is the very reason I sold the HSV and got the Noble! The supercharged HSV GTS looks nice in the classifieds though

There is a very specific bedding in process for these brakes. They need to 'cure' on the car and as such, deviation from the process will results in 'issues' going forward. Make sure you follow the process to the letter and dont be tempted to play for at least 500 non motorway miles.

Any good Tuner should be able to source them for you, have had them on various cars from several but currently use Monkfish Performance and they will be able to help.....www.monkfishperformance.com or 01280 841385

I think these are the pads that come with the AP upgrade kit. (I'm sure Paul uk_hsv could confirm).

Just had this upgrade fitted, no chance to evaluate yet as still bedding in - planning a very long drive at the weekend! They look awesome. Virtually no clearance between the wheel and the calliper at the front - must be the biggest stoppers you can fit on a CV8 with standard wheels.
