Well, all good things must come to an end so as most of you know, my pride &joy has moved on to it's new keeper Mr Raggyman who I know will need surgery to get the smile off his face! (those two xtra cylinders make a bit of a diff huh Jace??) Glad to say that I'll get to stay in touch and have the occasional drive whenever Jace passes through. I'm sure to be at a few of the meets & will stay active on the forum (with your blessings) as HSVGTSCOUPE, even though I'm now sadly MGZS180HATCHBACK (bit too long for a forum name??)

I'd like to say a genuine & heartfelt thanks to all you guys from the forum - it's a great forum cos u all make it great - it's been a pleasure to own an HSV in the UK & it's a credit to you all that Oz V8's have a real mystique over here. Whilst obviously the more recent passion has a lot to do with the vision of the boys at Clayton & Stu Harris & co, lets not forget the hard work of all those involved with bringing HSV's to the UK 5 or 6 year ago - well done & personal thanks to Paul, Will, Dunc & Mark from LSV for giving me the confidence to ship the coupe over here - been an honour & a pleasure - (DRIVE ON Jace!)

I think here a mention of Rod Clausen, the original HSV UK company and importer of HSVs deserves a mention. After all he was the guy who put Holden/HSV on the map in the UK.Credit where due!!! After all the 15/16 GTS-Rs were his imports let alone the GTS,s

Good luck Julian, was nice to meet you and your lovely wife on a couple of occasions.
Pomona, those were the days, remember driving the Autocar press car and loving it,deciding to buy one, wondering if Rod was going to be around long and if he didn't where would I be? Bought one (GTS-R)loved it and gave myself a pat on the back for being so brave. Remember thinking how can I be spending this much money on a car that's being sold in a bloody shed!Never regretted buying it, only selling it.

Just got back up into Newcastle. Man, it is absolutely amazing how much difference those 2 extra cylinders and 2 Litres make!!! Was pretty funny, cause pulled up to pick up a friend from her parents place at 11pm... I woke the entire neighbourhood up, (firstly cause parked in the driveway of the wrong house), opps, had lights coming on in pretty much every house in the street. Opps... ended up with a bunch of people trying to find out what the noise was all about. Opps..

Anyhow, awesome trip up, and suffering from whip lash, and a sore right foot from pressing the loud pedal. Mind you, absolutely amazing how much interest it got from the boys in blue.... lucky enough as the boy in blue was sitting beside me, I was on about 85mph, a ford focus flew past. (Like it isn't hard to pick out a fully market police car from about 2 miles!! But anyhow, phew...

Love the car... and will report on the embarasement of the owners of the Chav cars up here, when I go for a drive along the water front tomorrow night. Got lost in central london, and it was pretty amazing how many people went, what the hell is that!!
