Quotes Ive had range between 16-20 hours for getting it out and putting it back in

Usual rate £45-£50 per hour

All plus vat

Can be done with axle stands and trolley jacks if your feeling brave

I removed mine from underneath while it was on a ramp, but it can also be removed out the top, but access underneath is needed either way. Havn't put it back in yet, but 20 hrs sounds about right for out and back in, and wouldn't know about price as work was done by my Dad and i. It was surprisingly easy to remove if you know engines.

A V8 engine & box in a wedge is about 12 hours - so those times seem about right.. maybe a little high but it's not a fun job
and if the car is then to be left at premises for a period of time
then it's just dead space not earning money.. and a car that does not move (easily..).

My dealer hopefully took mine out this week and sent it to Blackpool. They said they needed to book 2 days in the workshop to do it, hence why the cars been sitting waiting for the past 2 weeks.

Anyone got a good guesstimate on Blackpool's turnaround nowadays? (its under warranty hence went where TVR wanted it to go - crikey, a head gasket should only take 5-6 hours max and if were paying...).

Took me most evenings and a sunday for two weeks to take it out and put it back in.

Dropped it out of the bottom with the gearbox, a few concrete blocks also helped

Is that 1 month from when it arrived at the factory gates, or does it include the dealer removing/refitting the engine?

That's quick. Dealer took 2 weeks to get the engine to TVR ... hopefully TVR will be on their toes (whoever is left that is).
