Just curious what forced induction options are availble for the LS1/2 engines and what limits the engine has on standard internals?

I take it with being an American V8 there will be a million supercharger kits, however does anyone do a turbo kit?

Any links would be great.

I think the limits are overly high cylinder pressures and avoiding detonation. The stock pistons and liners crack easily so engine management is paramount.

Yep wortec seem to have something on the go along with Roger at Monkfish - a single turbo on a 5.7 Ute.

I saw it putting a Vanquish to the sword!

There are a few turbo kits around, mostly from Oz.

Singles, twins, rear mounts from the US.
Just depends on budget and what you want really.

As for blowers, Vortech, Procharger, Magnassun and Whipple/Starr all make offerings.

Again, all down to what you want, and your budget.
The LS1 has a wealth of tuning options.

Because a turbo just keeps on piling in the boost Horses for courses and all that.

I have been investigating the many options myself.

The Harrop pos displacement blower would be my choice if i wanted to go supercharger. But I feel the twin turbo to be the best option, more expensive, more grunt and this kit is extremly well put togeather, stealth if thats what you like.

Here is plenty of info on it.

Hope this helps.

looks like it: http://ausautoportal.com/ls1turbo/tts

ok I wasn't sure to add this comment or not but I have to ask, why £7000 when the price on that page reads "US and overseas customers who buy direct from us at ls1turbo.com.au are able to purchase a complete Gen-TT kit from us for USD $4500 + shipping"
so thats about £2400 + shipping.

Yes LS2 will be availiable.............

As for cost You need to add the fuel upgrade to the OZ price and include VAT on shipping and the £7000 price is a fully fitted price including the tuning.....

£7000 is a lot I think, I thought this was going to be a 'cheaper' option? As in 5000-6000? £7000 is the same as the supercharger isn't it? Ahhh to win the lottery!!

I was going to do the headers next, but maybe best I should wait

That is assuming I am correct in that the headers would need to be replaced?

Yeah forget headers, you need a custom exhaust manifold setup for turbo.

Turbo has less parasitic losses compared to supercharger.
Roger says its got heaps of grunt down low anyway, so hardly any lag as is.

Depending on what power you are after a cam only or heads and cam should see 500bhp fairly easy.
Over that you are into compressing the charge. (Well except for all out crazy cams and larger displacement engines)

In fact thats a point. At £7000, would a $4000US 402 cube engine make more sense for some?
I guess shipping and so on would take it to £4000, but a 6.7L engine could be well cool.

You can have a kit for around 5-6k but from our testing we have found the fuel system to be right on the edge of its safety limit (we found fuel starvation at legal road speeds with a quarter of a tank of fuel ) so we have added the full fuel system to our package......

As for headers, it is true they don't upgrade into the turbo pack BUT based on the fact we have sold out of the first batch of headers and are well into the next batch I would say they will have a good second hand value..........

ok im lost with this.

So the kit for around 5-6k, does it include:

. Gen-TT Intercooled Twin Turbocharger Kit is not the complete kit $4500 USD ~ £2400
. LS1 Pro Series Fuel System (Full Pro) as listed for $2995 AUD ~ £1225 (http://ausautoportal.com/ls1turbo/pri
+ shipping
+ vat

Well that could get close to 5k if shipping was over £500, are there other parts or some different fuel system?
